The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office will begin hosting the “Sheriff’s Youth Advisory Council” on the second Tuesday of each month, starting in September. The Sheriff’s Youth Advisory Council will immerse high school juniors and seniors into a dialogue of the following topics:
– Promote serious dialogue with youth
– Advise the Sheriff about current issues of importance concerning youth
– Communicate mutual concerns of the Sheriff’s department and youth
– Empower our youth into a positive force for the good of the community
– Establish broad based support amount youth for the Sheriff’s Department
– Bring awareness to peers on crime related issues
There will be a light dinner provided each night.
Applications must be completed and sent to Delarian Wiggins at no later than Friday, August 20, 2021.
