VICTIM SERVICES

A Victim Advocate may be called to the scene by law enforcement to assist victims of crime and/or their families, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Victim Advocates respond to meet the immediate needs of the victim and their family. The Victim Advocate staff works closely with local social service agencies to secure the services necessary to alleviate the physical, emotional and financial impact of crime. The Florida Attorney General’s Division of Victim Services not only serves as an advocate for crime victims and victims’ rights, it also administers a compensation program to ensure financial assistance for innocent victims of crime. ECSO Victim Advocate can assist with completion of the financial assistance packet.
